In one of the few niches around Muskoka that are good for farming, this beautiful red livestock barn has been standing since the 1880′s. There is an excellent book that was published in 2008 – “Muskoka and Area Historic Barns”, by Sharon Cox Thompson and Laurie Clark Zammit. It is well worth a look if you love barns, particularly those of the homesteaders.
