The abandoned 120 year old church was demolished in mid 2009. I was fortunate enough to spend some special moments in this sacred place. This is how I will remember it.
From the book:
My footsteps cracked and echoed on the wooden floor of the abandoned church. Then faded away. The sound served only to intensify a silence so complete that light coming in the stained glass windows seemed to sing in deep gold, the dust in the air dancing to its music. I closed my eyes and listened.
