Despite the pouring rain, the opening was full of guests. Terry, owner of the Auburn Gallery did a wonderful job of hanging the show and the gallery looked spectacular.
I was so pleased to see so many of my friends and family come out, the support was overwhelming. Some had to come quite a long way to be here. I was also thrilled to see other bloggers, Laura and her Mom from That Grrl and Ed and his wife from the Cottage Blog. It is a treat to put faces to some of the friends we meet on-line.
A lovely gentleman that owns a farm in the area stopped by and shared stories about his farm and of one of his neighbours that has chosen to forgo electricity. I am quite looking forward to visiting his farm and the nearly ghost village that it is a part.
“Wheat Field Ruin” is currently on its way to Chicago with a lovely couple that were up visiting friends in the area.
I am quite exhausted and I must say I will be happy to rest for a little while before I launch into the next series of paintings. In the meantime, and over the next several days, I will start to post the paintings that I have, so long, been holding back.
I’m so happy for you Michelle. Brava!!
Love,
Linda
Nice to see YOUR face! ๐
So happy the show came off well!
Congratulations, Michelle!
It sounds like your show was all you hoped it to be and more. That is wonderful that Wheat Field Ruin is heading south. You are getting international exposure. Bravo! I am so sorry, the fates prevailed against me and I was unable to attend your opening. I did so hope to meet you as I feel that I know you. I don’t know how or why, but, I feel that at sometime or other we have had a relationship of some kind, perhaps in another life or on a different metaphysical plane. I certainly plan on coming up to see the show before it is over – my one regret is that you will not be there.
Thanks, Linda!
I have a face! ๐ Thanks, Kinsey…
Martin – thanks! I hope you have the opportunity to see the show. It would have been nice to have seen you on Saturday but I understand that life happens!
