WIP – Hopewell, New Brunswick, 24×12 ©2009 Michelle Basic Hendry
I have spent a lot of time complaining about the snow in recent days and I figured it was time to do some ‘winter worship’. This painting is a work in progress from a photograph I took when visiting Moncton in January a quite a few years ago now. My husband and I were at a conference and we decided to skip out, rented a car and drove to the Hopewell Rocks on the Bay of Fundy. Thus began my love affair with Canada’s East coast.
Michelle i’m jealous, that’s really looks to be an awesome place, natural, wild and beautiful, just what i like.
lovely sense of light to this 😀 I’ve only been to the East coast once, but I fell in love with it. Would love to go back one day
Patrick – I know you would love it..
Jennifer Rose – I am hoping the light is what survives the finishing! 🙂
This is very nice Michelle…

Thanks eddie – I have chosen to let my colour run a little wild this time. We’ll see how it goes!
Hello Michelle.
I am very envious of your subject matter and your technique. A lovely choice of palette.

Thanks, Trevor!
I was conscious of that because of your recent posts, Linda! 🙂
I love this, Michelle, particularly the contrast. Very eye catching!
Thanks, Lana! 😀
A work in progress? I’d be happy to call it finished. Looks amazing and moody and I love the colours.
Thanks, Ingrid, but I have spent several hours on it since and it is still a WIP!
