In October we took a trip to one of the most fascinating parts of the U.S. – The Four Corners Region of the Southwest. With its alien landscapes, sacred Navajo and Anasazi sites, there is no shortage of beauty and mystery to be found. This is one of those times I’m going to step away, just share the images and allow them to tell the story. Each photo will be captioned with location! This is Part I. More this week.

Wow! This is definitely an area of the US I want to visit.
Worth the effort, Steph!

Incredibly beautiful photos of this region! What beautiful paintings many of the photos would make. I’m looking forward to part 2.
Glad you enjoyed them!
Beautiful photos! I have been to Monument Valley and appreciate the beauty there. Thank you Michelle.
Thanks, Sharon. It is amazing, isn’t it? So hard to take it all in…
Great photos Michelle!
I lived a couple of years in Durango before I came to Montana. Really got to enjoy the many wonders of the Four Corners. Did you happen to stumble upon Canyons of the Ancients. It doesn’t get a lot of attention. I found it by accident myself. It’s quite near the Anasazi Ruins. It’s beautiful but without the tourists.

There is so much to see, you really have to live nearby or go several times to get to everything. That would be on the list to go back.
Love love lover the photos 😀 just an amazing looking place
Thanks Jennifer Rose! It is amazing…
Just catching up, wow! I’ve missed the excitement. These are gorgeous photographs, evoking the mystery and power of the place.
Thanks, Ingrid!
