In the midst of renovations in the new house, I thought I would take on the renovation of the website as well. With WordPress releasing Gutenberg, I figured it was time to update and make the site much more functional. It works on mobile devices but it’s lumpy, so it can be and will be smoother.
However, there is a learning curve and there will be an ugly stage.
Looking back, my first website in 1999 was largely hand coded HTML, followed by the convenience of Dreamweaver. I learned CSS and used it for a normal static website until discovering WordPress for blogging and applying my CSS knowledge to that.
This new system is designed to be more accessible for everyone. As a fan of WP, and having used it for over a decade, I’m up for the new generation. I just need to figure out how it all works. With no place to paint and it being too cold outside, now is the time!
So bear with me over the next few weeks. There will be changes for the better all around.
It looks good so far Michele.
Love,
Linda
Hi Linda! We’ll see if that’s still the case next week!
it looks good, easy to navigate 🙂
I’m going to try to resist the pull of facebook and get back into blogging, catching up on yours…sorry I haven’t visited, blogs are beautiful, your words are beautiful, I miss html. Honestly I like simple and controllable, words, pics, easy to read. This is easy to read, so all good.
