This is the window in the front room of the Fleger House and it was once Mrs. Fleger’s granddaughter, Crystal’s room when she came to visit. A jacket was left on the chair 10 years before and left untouched.
The “Twilight” house is one of my favourite houses to paint. It was formerly a manse to the neighbouring Methodist church. Earl and Dorothy Fleger purchased the house in the 1940’s and Dorothy lived there until shortly before her death at the age of 90. There was no running water or indoor plumbing in this house and Dorothy heated her water on the side of a wood stove in her teal kitchen into the 1990’s. The full story in my book “Once Imagined“
