This painting is from my most recent trip to northern New Mexico. “House of a Thousand Doors” is how I see the Taos Pueblo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been continuously occupied for nearly 1000 years. While wandering through the alleyways of this unique architecture, I was struck by the variety of doors. They were the unique, individual parts of a whole and a reflection of a community of the Earth, built of Earth, living in Earth.
